Theodore E. Martin

Retired President and Chief Executive Officer of Barnes Group Inc. (manufacturer of precision metal parts and distributor of industrial supplies) since December 1998, having been President and Chief Executive Officer from 1995 to 1998 and Group Vice President from 1990 to 1995; age 60. Mr. Martin has been a director of C. R. Bard since October 2003 and is a member of the Audit Committee, Compensation Committee, Science and Technology Committee and Regulatory Compliance Committee. He is also a director of Ingersoll-Rand Company.
