Tony L. White

Retired Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Applied Biosystems, Inc. (formerly Applera Corporation) (life science systems and products) since September 1995; age 62. Mr. White has been a director of C. R. Bard since July 1996 and is a member of the Executive Committee, Governance Committee and Compensation Committee. He is also a director of Ingersoll-Rand Company.
